Biography
Aleksandra’s musical journey began as a modern concert pianist, grounded in a traditional classical musical education. She holds Master of Arts degrees in Piano, both awarded cum laude, from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she studied with Prof. Ivari Ilja, and from the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, where she studied with Prof. Johannes Kropfitsch.
Alongside her concert career and pedagogical work, Aleksandra developed a growing interest in historical instruments. Performing the music of past centuries led her deeper into the study of historical traditions and performance practices of the 18th and 19th centuries, within the field of Historically Informed Performance (HIP).
This growing interest culminated in a further Master’s degree in Fortepiano under the guidance of Prof. Mikayel Balyan, with a particular focus on the fortepiano and clavichord. She has worked together with such musicians as Edoardo Torbianelli, Robert Brown, Melvin Tan, Gottlieb Wallisch and Viviana Sofronitsky.
Aleksandra performs regularly on historical and modern instruments in Austria and abroad. She is also active as a chamber musician, teacher and répétiteur.
